Whatever ! *

C'est une expression que j'ai ENORMEMENT entendue quand j'étais au USA. Elle sert à rembarrer,quelqu'un, d'une certaine manière, puisqu'on lui répond un équivalent de notre : "ouais, ouais... c'est ça...".

Le terme "whatever" signifie...

... en lui-même "qu'importe", "peu importe".

Par exemple : "whatever skin colours people have, we should all stand on an equal footing" (peu importe les couleurs de peau / Quelque soit la couleur de peau, nous devrions tous être sur le même pied d'égalité).

Dans l'expression seule : "Yeah... whatever!", le mot prend un sens bien moins noble que celui de la phrase précédemment formée, ne trouvez-vous pas ? = )
